Heat > LESLIES CUBEComprising a tinplate box with 130 mm sides. The vertical faces of the box are blackened, roughened, varnished and polished respectively. The top opening is 25 mm in diameter. The apparatus is filled with water maintained at boiling point by a low Bunsen flame. A thermopile and a galvanometer can then be used to compare the relative output of radiant heat from each of the four faces. Care should be exercised to prevent radiation reaching the thermopile directly from the flame. Comes with Teachers Guide.
