To demonstrate unequal expansion in different metals on Heating. Highlights the role of temperature and materials in practical applications such as in thermostats. Consists of a laminated strip of two different metals fitted in a wooden handle. The strip is about (l x w), 200 x 10mm. Due to differences in the co-efficients of linear expansion of both metals, the laminated strip bends dramatically on heating. Comes with Teachers Guide.
